Dark Times? I Don’t Agree

You say that these are dark times, but I don’t agree.

I just saw a man picking up garbage at the lake. He’s setting an example for his son who will do the same one day.

I see my neighbours quietly teaching their kids to love and respect the Earth and all life.

I hear my daughter's teachers talking about respect for all, compassion, and kindness.

I see conscious entrepreneurs building thriving businesses that have a social mission at their root.

It seems obvious that the 1 percent of bad actors get 99% of media airtime.

The world is NOT broken, has NEVER been broken, and COULD never be broken.

It's only your picture that is skewed.

Each human sees what they want to see. You can focus on the dark or the light.

You can't deny there are atrocities happening at this very moment.

But if we believe the common narrative, of course we would lose hope.

I invite you to remember the natural goodness in all human hearts.

I see mainly good men and women performing quiet acts of love each day, all day long. You don't have to search hard to find selfless acts of compassion and altruism.

This is the natural human state: love. It's only when we disconnect from love that we see evil.

The solution is not to wage war against the perpetrators (what we resist only grows), the solution is to practice more love in the world.

That will sound soft to some, but love is not soft, it is the irresistible, overwhelming force that creates and animates the entire universe.

If you're feeling overwhelmed by the world, pause. Look for the quiet acts of love around you and become one of them. That’s how we change everything. Book a Business Mentorship Application Call here.
